Peter Scott’s focus is to protect the reputation of his partners. Designing a secure cybersecurity offering is one of the most important decisions a business can make. With an ever-changing threat landscape, he helps consult on effective security practices and solutions. Peter has been coaching his partners through the subcategories of Security to find the appropriate offerings for them to protect this crucial asset!
Peter started with Pax8 in 2018 as a Channel Account Manager. Since joining, he has specialized in the Cybersecurity category and developed an in-depth knowledge of the subcategories of security. He speaks to creating operationally efficient offerings that will help protect the reputation of his partners. Peter has completed his CompTIA Security + certification and has climbed to a senior level of the Security team at Pax8.
Detective Lieutenant Brian Gavioli is the Unit Commander for the Criminal Information Section and oversees the Commonwealth Fusion Center’s Massachusetts Cybersecurity Program that provides Cyber Threat Intelligence, Information Sharing, and Cyber Incident Response with private, local, state, and federal partners. He is a Massachusetts Cyber Incident Response Team Task Force Officer with the FBI Boston Cyber Task Force. Prior to his current position, Brian was assigned to the Cyber Crime Unit, where he worked as a digital forensics examiner for over 16 years.
Brian has also frequently presented and instructed other law enforcement officers within the Commonwealth and nationwide on the subjects of investigating cybercrime, internet-related child exploitation, internet safety, digital forensics and incident response (DFIR), cybersecurity, and the use of open source intelligence (OSINT) during investigations.
Derek Kornbluth’s current role at Blackpoint Cyber enables him to educate Managed Service Providers and their clients on securing their environments against possible intrusion by bad actors. His focused efforts revolve around the protection of endpoints, the cloud and the overall disruption of malicious attacks into the networks that Blackpoint’s tools protect.
Derek has been working in the IT and tech space for 6 years, narrowing his scope into cybersecurity one and a half years ago.
Bob Dupuis is the Security Manager at Bay State IT, where his team supports the security of over 100 clients in the life sciences sector so they can concentrate on the life-changing research they do. His extensive experience has brought him around the world developing security solutions for companies including a multi-hospital healthcare system serving 33 communities and over 700,000 residents, an international robotics company specializing in military defense and home care solutions, a global financial firm managing billions in assets, and one of the largest health insurance companies, where he established their security infrastructure.
Bob’s background also includes military service, where he deployed communications to support warfighters worldwide. He has held numerous industry certifications, including CISSP and GSLC.
